Catina talks to baby

This morning Catina came into our room and said "I like you baby. When are you coming out?" Then she kissed my belly.

daddy's away

Greg went away for 8 days back packing. Catina was so happy to see him when he got home. She cried when she had to take a nap because she was nervous he was going to leave. Greg reassured her he was staying but she looked at him and said "I can hear your Bronco!" As if to say, I can hear if you are leaving so don't try to trick me. She had a rough night as well and came in to see if Greg was there. She has been asking a lot about where he is at all times. She seems to be doing better today after having Greg home for a couple of days.

1st day of preschool

Today was Catina's first day of preschool. She was ready to go two hours before she needed to be! Greg dropped her off and she ran into the classroom. Greg had to call her back to say "good-bye!" Her teacher made a comment that she was ready to go! Other parents stayed and lingered but Greg felt that wasn't something he should do so he left but realized he felt funny just leaving her to these strangers.

Yesterday she told people she was going to school just like "Big Avery." Big Avery starts high school today! She calls her Big Avery because her cousin is Baby Avary.

Catina definitely adjusted quickly and was excited to see me when I picked her up. She loved her day and asked if she could come back tomorrow. Apparently, a boy was crying during class. She told me he was sad and she tried to talk to him. On the way home she told me she wanted to go on the school bus. I told her that is for bigger girls. She asked when she could be big because she was already a big sister. Hmmm. ..I told her when she is five or six. She then replied, "Then I want to be six."
